JOIN THE COMMUNITY AS A NEW APARTHEID FREE ZONE (AFZ)

Below are the steps to join the AFZ community in the Netherlands and the global BDS campaign.

  1. Read carefully our AFZ Campaign Manifesto: this document describes in detail the campaign framework, minimum requirements for each AFZ category and other instructions to continue your journey as a new AFZ. The manifesto is currently available in English or Dutch and will soon be available in Turkish and Arabic as well.

  2. Make sure you comply with all the minimum requirements listed in the campaign manifesto. If you need help you can always contact us, we would be happy to assist you.

  3. If you can ensure that minimum requirements are met, then proceed by filling the AFZ campaign registration form. You can do this either by filling the form here on this page (or below, in case you are browsing on mobile), or by downloading the following document, complete it with the correct information and email it to us via info@apartheidvrijezones.nl.

  4. We will then review your application and email you the outcome of the evaluation process.

In case of a positive outcome, you will receive a welcome kit with some campaign material for you and your AFZ.

At this point, we kindly ask you to:

  1. If possible, publish an endorsement to the campaign through your channels (social media, website, etc.). Be inspired by our templated declarations here.

  2. Hang the AFZ sticker at the entrance door or window of your AFZ. This will help people in the community recognise the venues that are part of the network.

  3. Join our community channels: either newsletter by leaving your email address and consensus and/or our Signal broadcast group.

  4. Spread the word and help us grow the community in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle.
